Tempest Over Tiger

I can understand Tiger Woods’ right to privacy. I can understand him not being able to play in his tournament due to his injuries from the car crash.
What Tiger should do is attend the final day of his golf tournament at Sherwood Country Club to thank the golfers and the fans who attend, and to acknowledge the financial benefits to his Tiger Woods Foundation.

Woods, the most successful golfer ever, rakes in money doing what he loves. He raises millions of dollars for his charities.
Maybe he slept with another woman, and maybe his wife beat the snot out of him, and maybe he crashed while trying to flee.  It’s a good thing he wasn’t a professional archer!!  Tens of thousands of men have moved their golf clubs from their homes into the trunk of their car!

But…

It’s sad how society chooses to ignore wars, millions of people without health insurance, the homeless and climate change, yet it has no problem with getting into someone else’s business. Many have no problem eating up gossip that will have absolutely no effect on their lives.

People, get a clue.

Shoe-Thrower Finds Out What It Was Like

The Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President George W. Bush in Baghdad last year nearly got a taste of his own medicine Tuesday when he nearly got beaned by a shoe thrower at a news conference in Paris.

Muntadhar al-Zeidi ducked and the shoe hit the wall.

“He stole my technique,” al-Zeidi later commented.

The identity of the new shoe-thrower – and his motivation – weren’t immediately clear, but he appeared to be an Iraqi.  He may have been posing as a journalist.

Whatever his motive, the confrontation didn’t stop there.

Al-Zeidi’s brother, Maithan, chased the attacker in the audience and – what else? – pelted him with a shoe as he left the room.  LOL!!!

Muntadhar al-Zeidi, a TV reporter, became a hero to many opponents of the Iraqi war when  he hurled his shoes at Bush during news conference in Baghdad in December 2008 while shouting: “This is for the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq.”  He was wrestled to the ground by security guards and was imprisoned for nine months.  What is it about Iraqis and shoes??  Remember the Shoe Bomber??  Crazy stuff!

LazyGogs 001

LazyGogs 002

LazyGogs 003

Why is it that the largest dog is always in the smallest bed??  HAH!!

Full moon tonight!!  Have a nice rest of the week!

Hubby and I were just talking about all the Tiger Woods kafuffle. Bottom line…he is an excellent golfer, a human being and is entitled to his privacy. What goes on behind closed doors should stay behind closed doors. I hate that the Media has to stick their noses into people’s private business just for the sake of making extra$$$ I find it disgusting.Love the pictures of the dogs. Nothing like a good old hockey game to put them to sleep LOL

Bottom line do you want me to take a whack with the clubs at war, poverty, health care and climate change or what I can control…Sincerely, Elin

Loved the post Bob, I couldn’t agree more on all counts, I saw all of those little tidbits in the news and had to shake my head, what a weird world we live in…but it doesn’t seem to bother your dogs much!

I couldn’t agree more with the Tiger Woods section. I so wish more and more people would see this message and realize how stupid they are. The same goes for Brittany, Lady GaGa, Brad & Angie, and on and on. What makes them so special that we need to worry about them and not about everything else in the world? Thanks for this post Bob!

As usual, you are dead on point. It makes me want to pull my gray hair and throw up.J.W.L.
