More Rain, and Even Worse!!

And I thought yesterday was bad….
Today we received 4" of rain (that equals 2 feet of snow, high winds and to top it all off, tornados in Orange County!  Very, very rare.  The last one here was in 1967.  Seven of them touched down today.  Now we are currently under a severe thunderstorm warning.  More of the same tomorrow with the BIG one moving in on Thursday.  Can’t wait to see that one!   We had a wind gust of 93mph this afternoon.
I had an appointment today to have my taxes done, right during the height of the storm (30 miles on the Interstate)  so  I called my tax guy and he said everyone else had already cancelled.  Whew!!!  All we now is an earthquake.  Here is what our street looked like today:
Trash bins down!!!  Floating down the street…
And me sorting out the trash bins.  You can se a tornado forming behind me.  It was dark and still.  Not good!
And yes, my crazy neighbor was raking leaves during a downpour!
The sun is shining now, but Mother Nature is just teasing us!
Oh Good!!! Golfball-size hail tomorrow!!  Only 5 storms left to come.  All of these storms will be heading to the southeast!!  Enjoy!!!

Knock on wood man, don’t even mention earthquakes! You’re sure right about tornados in your neck of the woods…talk about weird. I wonder what the rest of the year will hold for us weatherwise. We are going to take a down turn with it getting cold again with snow which doesn’t make me very happy but then, it’s the norm for us. I don’t think we’ll be getting any hail or tornados anytime soon. Looks plenty wet there bud, don’t float down the street now huh?

Tornado’s rain and hail…oh my! Don’t mention Earthquackers or mudslides ok? Your report tells me more than the tv does. Like a reporter, yer out there showingus results. Be safe!

Hi Bob, I was watching the news and your rain came by here. Course in the desert we need it!! Our streets get like that with monsoon season and the poor people who live at the end of the street on a hill, goodness the water rushes by like white water rafting! With the eartquakes, flooding, mudslides I think its time to start making new homes out of boats! Well keep your feet dry =].
