An Epic Day!!! (For Me….!!)

We have AWESOME gardeners!!  They do it all for $15 a week!!  Mow, trim, weed, feed, prune the roses…..   Remember when I had my lawn sodded?  Here is what it looks like now!
Yard 009

Yard 010

Yard 011

Unfortunately, because of my foot problems, I have let the backyard get out of control!  This is what it looked liked this morning!

Yard 003

Yard 004

So I asked them how much it would cost to get my yard into decent shape, or at least something I could work with!  He looked around and said, $20.00!!!!!   WOW!!

Here is how it looks now!!

$20.00?????  These guys are better than Larry!!    So my backyard is back under control!!  I fed and watered it today.  I still have some weeds to pull and some tree trimming to do, but what a difference!  My dogs LOVE it and Burt the Tortoise is all over it!!  Now, my job is to keep it that way!!  $20.00???????  WOW!!

That front yard looks like a carpet it is so neat.
I’d say it’s a good thing you got your gardners after the back before the grass monster reached up and got you in your hammok!
Maybe I’ll catch some NASCAR tomorrow, I like to watch it while prone on my couch.
Music requests and you like country, let’s see..
How about some old country like Charlie Daniels Band, maybe Fire On The Mountain
Hey you ever hear that album by Leon Russel doing the Hank Williams greatest? Awesome!

  3. Jean says:

Thanks for the Vince!! I love it! Oh, yeah, Steve’s right.. Some Leon would go good. He’s from my town! And I know him! He had a big recording studio here in the 70’s and 80’s..when I was in my "musician" boyfriend phase!!lol It was really cool around here in the 70’s if you had any musical ties at all.. aahhhh good memories! Thanks for the song.. but it shuts off kindof abruptly!
    hugs,
    Jean

  4. Gina says:

Bob… you crack me up! Your yard looks fantastic, the new windows are awesome, and I am so stinkin jealous of that GREEEEEN grass! wahhhhhhh!!! I want to see spring come here and the grass turn green again! I know it’ll happen but just not fast enough!

Burt, dude!!! Welcome back! We missed hearing about you!

  7. Jaysey says:

    I need those gardeners…but first I need a lawn…hmm…can I get a lawn for $20.00? 😉

  8. Carol says:

    G’mornin Bob,

The lawn looks great but unfortunately (for me) it only serves to fuel my anxt about the poor condition of my own lawn – Doh!

I gotta chime in a little with Jeankl on the music rant. Most often when I come here it is via a new post advisory on sapces home page. That link dumps us directly into the blog entry in question and effectively bypasses your page’s other attributes, including the music. So we don’t ever hear it unless we are nosing around your page for periodic updates other than blog entries. So don’t take it personal if it takes us a while to note a great tune. Thanks for the mention though, just the same.

Also, I beg a favor. could you ask Mrs. S to stop by and comment on my last blog since she has experience with my quest, I would greatly appreciate her feedback.

Thanks Bob, gotta go check to see what tune U R playin…

Lawn looks fantastic!  Sorry about not catching the tunes too much…it’s hard to hear things here over the kiddies!  LOL

    Enjoy race day!  🙂

  15. MizAngie says:

Man, you sure do play a lot of belt buckle shinin’ songs! You know, those slow sexy songs for dancin’ with your bellies rubbin’ together… Wish I had a nickle for every buckle I left shiny back in the 70s. Ha!!

FYI – Blue Eyes Cryin’ in the Rain (performed by Willie Nelson, written by Fred Rose – from Redheaded Stranger album) is my all-time favorite…

Well, I LOVE your lawn!! Ok if I were you I would lay on it and watch the sky! It might sound weird but it is very good for the health…..just make sure the dogs did not have the idea to lay something  there first!;O)

  22. Twila says:

Great looking lawn Bob!  Wonder if I could get ‘your’ guys to come make my lawn look like that!?  And I could really use Larry to finish up our money pit!  We could keep him busy for about a month!  Kitchen tiling is next for us and it’s something neither of us have ever done before.  Guess we’re on the learn as you go plan.  We’re both just a bit hesitant to do it, but I’m sure that once we get started we’ll find it easier than either of us thought it would be.  I hope so anyway.

Hope you have a great week!  Now, get that paint brush going.
